The Legends of the Dead Earth Annuals continue. Two stories follow the succession of the last power ring as it's passed down to two very different wielders. With his dying breath, one Green Lantern bequeaths the ring to Taa of the planet Zilliph, beseeching him to seek revenge. But Taa's world is one where decisions are made only by the many in this story by Chuck Dixon, with art by Alcatena. In "Nobler in the Mind," another successor of Kyle Rayner searches desperately to find a soul worthy of the ring and comes up empty...almost. Written by Len Wein, with art by Bill Willingham and Robert Campanella. Cover by Willingham. 52 pages
